As a designer, you probably wouldn’t think I write often.
Unless you’re here reading this newsletter or over on the blog, you probably wouldn’t think of it.
Especially if you look at my Instagram captions (it’s like I can’t talk without a laptop keyboard).
But writing is an essential part of design.
Keeping a writing practice helps you communicate your thoughts better.
It helps you grow & learn more about yourself, inevitably creating more unique & personal work.
I’ve always been one who cannot put their thoughts into words & I still am, but that’s why I write.
I write in a newsletter about higher thoughts & creative takes, I write in a blog that’s more informative, & I write in a journal, every day.
Do you have a writing practice? What other skills are you developing to help you become better at your craft?

The branding for Rocky’s Matcha immediately caught my eye. I am obsessed with illegible logos, and their matcha also looks great.
A juicy collage collection on are.na.
A good quick read on how to be a freelance designer. Even though I’m literally doing it, I still feel like I’m learning how to do it. Maybe you feel the same.
Currently reading: Just started The Midnight Library. I’ve had this for a while & heard good things but I finally picked it up the other day. So far so good, have you read it?
A fun project. & although the designers featured are a dream, it inspires me to start something.
Branding inspiration from Clue Perfumery. Love how the logo stays constant while the stickers change depending on the scents. Which, btw, also includes some great copywriting inspo.

Hope you all had a good November, here’s to the last month of 2024!
